Soccer is what I lived for, it was more than a game to me. Only sport I actively played as a kid. Growing up in a family of soccer enthusiasts did influenced and impacted my passion for the game. I noticed this difference between my teammates and I, I always show up with fire. It feels like I always over celebrate a goal/win with energy, aggressively scream for plays, I am always a different person on the pitch. I don't just play for me, I play for the guy next to me.
The sport has taught me alot of empathy, I have had fair shares of stinker games including times at High-school. It made me understand my teammates better and always encourage them after a rough game. What I bring to a team is not just passion but growth and a deep respect for the beautiful game.
When I immigrated to the U.S and started a freshman, missed soccer season. The following year as a sophomore, Tried out and made it onto JVB. I was very disappointed but didn't discourage for playing the game I love with full passion. I played for the team with everything I got and eventually became a key player, which I don't think was special because I was determined for the higher level. I even trained harder, learn from countless videos to improve as a player. I did believe that I became better at shooting, passing and decision making.
I always learn from correction, encourage others and never talk a teammate down. I know i still have alot to learn and I am ready for challenges. What I bring to a team isn't just passion but growth and a deep respect for the beautiful game.
