Matthew Martin '25 Recruiting Profile

I have been on the soccer field since I was walking and although it hasn't always been a cake walk I still find myself up late watching game film or staying after practice to work on anything possible. I have this work ethic that some have described as unique and some have described as encouraging. Whether I am granted the captain's armband on a team or not I believe I am always leading in some way. This applies in the classroom as well, I may not be the smartest kid in the class or the quickest learner but I can confidently say that I have never left a classroom confused or unclear on an assignment. I pride myself in building relationships with my teachers and peers at school and I believe in making and maintaining as many healthy relationships as possible because you never know when you'll need someone. I aim to play soccer at the collegiate level and obtain the best academics possible.
