My name is Cristian Calderon, I'm 16 years old and I am a sophomore at Winchester High School in Winchester, Massachusetts. I am a striker for Winchester high school's varsity team and a winger (preferably left) for New England Surf 05 State Sky team. As a striker/winger my on the ball qualities are very good, such as my first touch, dribbling, etc. I can hold the ball up well and link up with the midfield but can also make runs in behind the defense. I have a good eye to create opportunities for my teammates but can finish chances given to me as well. I keep a positive attitude in training and most importantly in games. I have good relationships with my teammates and coaches from both my school and club team. During my first season playing varsity in the fall (2021), I managed to score 7 goals and 2 assists in 16 games. I received Belmont Soccer Night's "Player of the Match" award by scoring 2 goals in a 2-1 win. I was also named a Middlesex league all-star. Throughout my years playing club soccer, I have traveled around the country for tournaments, many of them being highly competitive. I take my academics just as seriously as my soccer, my work in the classroom is just as important, if not more important than my soccer.
