Marcos Fernandez '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Marcos Fernandez, I was born and raised in Worcester Massachusetts. I am a CDM for both club and varsity school team. I have played soccer my whole life and have dedicated it to being one of the things I love most. My love for soccer started at the young age at 5 years old when my father first brought me to the field to kick around a ball. Since then my love for the sport has only grown stronger. My dream and goal as a young kid was to play professionally or at the college level, and for most of all to impress my parents. In addition one of my biggest goals is to one day proudly say that I've played at the level all while making my parents who sacrificed everything, proud. I would be a great candidate for a college sports team because of my work ethic, mentality, passion and disicpline. I have the important factor of passion, passion on and off the field, I take pride in my work and achievements. I work to be the best self I can be with the motivate from my family and peers. I contribute to my team with my leadership skills and make sure that everyone strives to play their best, even if it's a tough game. Lastly, what makes me different from other recruits is where I came from. Starting out I only played on a travel team which wasn't completive and resources weren't available to me. Although I knew this and money would be an important factor, I still used what I had available to me to train and better myself. I would often go to play indoor and head to the park to join pickup games.That's how I gained skill, not with a fancy expensive club, but with pickup games, gaining experience from the experiences elders.
