Tyler daSilva '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tyler daSilva and I currently am seventeen years old, attending Worcester Technical High School; while majoring in Biotechnology. Soccer has been apart of my life since I started at the age of three for Worcester Youth Soccer before moving to Holden. I am always the first one on the field and I give what I call passion and intensity for every play. I don't play soccer just for fun, I play because it's in my blood; however, cliche that might sound a soccer ball was the first ball I ever chose, and it has provided an outlet for me that I infinitely invested in. Whether a practice or a game I am set the example and lead through that. College has never been an "if", because I know through my hard work that I will go anywhere. At first it was Harvard and now I am exploring because when I leave this world I am going to leave a mark on it, and with that a legacy for people to follow. As of right now I am working on establishing a soccer team for Worcester Tech alone instead of being incorporated with North High. One of my driving forces is having so much death in my family at a young age that I realized every day is a gift not a given and talents should be used and built upon with skill acquired through practice. I do not follow I make my own path, and I don't take no for an answer, in the classroom if need be I do my own research; I teach my classmates. On the field I push past exhaustion to make the final stride. At my job working to help the house hold, and in my life because when my life ends I want to end on empty knowing I gave it everything I had. I am not afraid to fail, failure has molded me into someone who has made success a habit.
