I’ve been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. I’ve been a goalkeeper ever since U.S. Soccer allowed my age group to have a goalkeeper. My two older cousins who played keeper for their club teams inspired me to play the position. I enjoy being a goalkeeper because of the rush of knowing that I am the last line of defense between the ball and the goal.
Outside of soccer, I enjoy robotics. I am a former member of team 14799 Javawocky, a former FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team. I was a part of the primary build team and the backup driver of the robot. Being a part of the robotics team has taught me how to be a good leader and team member. Robotics also taught me how to interact with others in a kind manner and exhibit “gracious professionalism” which is a core value of FIRST. I plan to use my robotics experience in the future by pursuing a degree in the engineering field, perhaps in aerospace engineering. Unfortunately, as of 2023, the team no longer exists. However, I am currently championing a new robotics club/team at my new high school, West Jones High School.
