Personal Statement
Throughout college, I hope to achieve the same, or higher, standards on the soccer field and in the classroom, improving myself as an athlete and a student. During the past several years of my life, a defining attribute of mine is my effort and commitment to improve, compete, and learn. Through competition, I have not only been able to improve myself by striving to do every action better, but this has also allowed me to guide my teammates to higher levels along with myself. I am academically successful, not only keeping my own grades high, but I also tutor those in my classes who need help with understanding content. But I am not only successful in the classroom. I was the only sophomore or freshman that started on a high school team that had an undefeated 30 game season, playing a large role as a leader from the centerback position, one that I only started playing at the start of the season. Through my willingness to improve, I was able to thrive in the position.
