Tyler Fischer '26 Recruiting Profile

I am self-motivated and goal-oriented in everything I do.  If it is worth doing, it is worth doing well. I believe in team first and the pursuit of excellence through a growth mindset, dedication, high work ethic and being a true student of the game. Having had the privilege of continuously working with top coaches in the Midwest since the age of 9, I have experienced playing and developing at the top levels of the US youth soccer pyramid, including DA, MLS Next and various National Tournaments.  

In the early years, training and match play required a lot of travel. I spent multiple years commuting 2-3 hours each way, 3-5 days a week. Time in the car was utilized for studies and rest.  I am grateful for the accommodation of my early educators at Immaculate Conception Elementary School in Springfield, MO, who allowed this on the condition of academic excellence and thankful to my family who together made this dream a possibility. 

I resided in Kansas City during my middle school years and attended Acellus Academy for education while playing for Sporting KC Academy.

St. Louis is currently home. I attend St. Dominic High School while training and playing for St. Louis CITY SC Academy year round.  

As a well rounded technical goalkeeper, I utilize the skill sets and techniques developed over many years in conjunction with the natural ability to quickly think and react.  I am very comfortable with the ball at my feet and prefer to play a modern sweeper keeper role.  With the view of the entire pitch, I strive to provide quality, concise direction for my team members as play develops and encourage them throughout the match.

I have not chosen a career path nor a field of study but would like to play soccer at the highest level and receive an education to match. I hope to continue progressing as a player, student and citizen so that I can make a meaningful and positive impact on the lives of others.
