Hello Coaches, It is my senior year!!! Let's see what happens because I am here to play soccer. The season is about to start and my goal is to do whatever it takes to make things happen for my team. Coach has me practicing as striker so we will see what that brings! No fans, no team dinners, no varsity camp, no nothing but soccer practices and games! It is still my last high school year of soccer!
I am a focused athlete and student who has the drive to compete individually or as a teammate. I love the competition and the ability to see my results thru hard dedication. I am on several soccer teams, Arsenal, Mt. ODP, guest player for Idaho ODP and generally play up top from left mid to center mid to left striker. I will play any position to better the team. My first year in high school, I was used as a striker for the JV team. I enjoyed it and was our top scorer and top in assists. Soph & Junior year, played those same positions as well as being a top leader in assists. I did play both right and left wingers, & mids those years too as well as center mid. I was a starter and played the whole game moving around in positions to give my teammates a break. My junior year I played attacking mid on most games and was named at the Western Conference honorable mention. I am an avid ski racer as well. I compete in the NW division and do all disciplines from Slalom, GS, Super G. I am an organized student that realizes that school must come first in order to see success as a college student. What sets me apart from others is that I have an inner drive to succeed and please my coaches as well as teachers and parents and of course, myself. I will be a senior next year in high school and love weight training as well as any physical fitness. I even took up tennis my junior year and made the varsity team but unfortunately with Covid 19 we were unable to dominate in our doubles team. I will try out for tennis again my senior year. I want to carve my own path and go to a college that demands excellence and that I can hopefully pursue my field of study in anatomy/biology as I am leaning towards physical therapy, sports medicine or pre med. I realize my options are open and I have not made any decision on where I want to go. I even love the thought of an ROTC program. I want to play soccer in college as well as compete individually as a skier. Thanks, Ethan Hayes
