Mateos Perez '27 Recruiting Profile

As many people I have been playing soccer since I was young, i’ve always aspired to play soccer. I remember my first coach from my first season when I was only 3 years old. I had a late start to playing club but I have been putting in the work and seen lots of improvements, and more to come. I had a tuff year freshman year academically, but sophomore year was different I have been excelling junior year will be the same. I have taken 4 AP classes next year and already getting ready for my hs and club season. Soccer is my life I can’t picture my life without it, It has helped me though so much and has always felt like home. I have to play soccer at the highest level because that’s where I feel like home where I feel whole. My team my coach and playing teams who are better and more skilled help me grow. The feedback from my coach and drills I use outside of club to get better. The idea of playing collegiate soccer and maybe even playing in the mls is the idea that drives me to get better and improve. I won’t stop till I reach that goal, I feel like my purpose in this world is soccer.
