Justin Delgado '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Justin Delgado and I am currently a 17 year old senior at Bloomfield High School which is located in Essex County, Bloomfield, New Jersey. Even though I have been in the honors program for most of my previous education, I always felt extremely different from most of my classmates. To begin with, I have been playing soccer for most of my life. I started at age 6, which means I have 11 years of experience. I have also been team captain for 9 years and have been playing varsity since 10th grade. Throughout all these teams that I have played in, I have always gone against much older and more experienced players.

For example, the travel team that I have been playing with for over 9 years only books games with players that are 2+ years older. This was a very intelligent decision on my coaches’ behalf because it gave me large amounts of confidence and experience. I am not afraid nor intimidated by any older individuals, especially those in my age group. My experiences and what I have been through is also part of the reason why I think I’m different from most people.
