My journey began at a very young age in soccer. At the age of 5 I joined my first recreational soccer team and my passion and determination to succeed as a competitive player ignited. At the age of 10 my talents were noticed and I was approached by Clifton’s travel team to partake in their elite U10 travel team. Early on I realized the importance of perseverance and discipline to grow and demonstrate my full potential. Being a three-year varsity starter, and being named captain of the varsity team are only a couple of my achievements. I am also proud to be named All County, All League and All State in 2016
Hard work and tenacity have guided the choices I have made throughout my high school career. With that said, I believe strongly in the importance of volunteer work. Since I was a middle school student I have been involved with working with children with autism. This past year I had the opportunity to go to schools to work one on one with children with autism and teach them utilizing kinesthetic activities. This experience has not only been humbling but it has helped me grow and mature. I have also been an indoor soccer coach for youth athletes at the Clifton Boys and Girls Club. I am committed to being a responsible role model on and off of the field.
My strong work ethic is not only evident on the field but also through my academia. This year I was pleased to receive the Academic Achievement Award. I aspire to being an athlete at the collegiate level. If given the opportunity to do so I look forward to proving that you have made the right decision on accepting me.
