Marco Schiano '24 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches, 

From the first kick of a ball at 2 years old until now, my love for the game has been unexplainable. At a young age when my team and I lost finals or big games, I would be upset but I learned from those experiences and bring those lessons to every game, training session, and everyday life experience. My passion and love for this game will be a forever love story. Now, I am highly advanced in both my academics and soccer. I am a silent leader who leads by example and communicates effectively with my teammates, pulling them up when they are down and helping them stay focused when things are tough on the field. My desire to win is never matched. I have an eye for goal and also have the vision to play my teammates into space to create chances on goal. 

I am a hard-working, mentally tough, and very coachable player, who studies hard and has a 4.7 weighted GPA. Also, I have volunteered at the summer camp I attended since I was in 2nd grade, and now an official camp counselor. My academic goal is to graduate with an Exercise Science/Kinesiology degree and attend Physical Therapy school. I would love to work with athletes and provide them with training to maximize their performance and get them back on the field post-injury. 

I am currently the starting striker with South Jersey Elite Barons (SJEB) FC 2006 Boys Academy. I also play as a Central Attacking Midfielder or a Second Forward in the “10” role. I am excited to share that our team will play in the USYS National League P.R.O. this season and will be attending a tournament in Central Florida (December 2022) and Mesa, Arizona (January 2023).  Additionally, we will be back in Pennsylvania for the Penn Fusion Showcase in February 2023 and Jefferson Cup in Richmond, Virginia in March 2023.

I want to attend a college that is a right fit for me athletically and academically.  I want to make a positive impact on my future college soccer program, teammates and coaches, and college professors, and of course, make my parents proud!
