Dylan Thackeray '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dylan Thackeray and I am a member of the 2024 graduating class at Holmdel High School in New Jersey. I play for NJX Chelsea 2006 in EDP and Holmdel High School in the Shore Conference.  I have been playing soccer since I was six years old and I hope to continue playing at the collegiate level. My primary position is Centerback, but I also play Outside Back and Center Defensive Mid at times.  

I am a team player and I bring leadership, dedication, speed, fitness and size to complement my team in defensive roles. On the point of leadership, I enjoy motivating my teammates and being vocal during game play, as I am well positioned to see open players up the field when we take over possession.  I stay active during the off-season with camps, personal soccer coaching, running and weight lifting.  This year I took part in my first Spartan race to test my fitness levels in an open age category. 

In addition to my athletic pursuits, my scholastic endeavors are very important to me.  I made Honor Roll in my Freshman year and have maintained high marks so far in my Sophomore year.  I have a goal to become a member of the National Honor Society next year and I hope I can find college opportunities that combine a competitive soccer program with a high level college education.
