My name is Jonathan Morales, and since I was a young child, I have always aspired to play professional soccer. As I got older, I discovered that soccer is more than simply a sport I love and enjoy—it's a passion. I played JV soccer as a freshman, and it wasn't easy because all of my older friends were varsity players. I received a lot of criticism for my style of play, which motivated me to work a little harder in practice. Even though I didn't start, I made it to varsity by my sophomore year, which was an important step in the development of my skills. By my junior year and senior year, I was able to make a difference in my team since I took on the key position as a starter and became a team leader. I've heard every cliché there is: "It's very difficult to become a professional soccer player," "Your chances of succeeding are one in a million," and even the people closest to me advised me to give up the beautiful game. I think you can succeed in life if you put in enough effort and maintain your focus on your goal. As a team leader, I can encourage my teammates even more to win games.
