Being a starter player in the beginning of my freshman year is probably the best thing that could have happened to me at the start of high school. I thank my coach for giving me the opportunity and responsibility to be a starter goalkeeper for my high school team. This was a big step for me and I knew this would help me in the future of my high school career because I would gain experience from games and use it to be better in future seasons. After my sophomore year of high school I believed it impacted me the most because the team was competing better than previous years and that has to do with the fact that we gained experience from the previous year and used it to our advantage.
I believe I am different from other recruiters because I was among 3 Freshmen who started in my Varsity High School Soccer Team, I was commonly the replacement of the current senior goalkeeper at the time (2016) due to my ability of playing better in the position. The Head Coach wanted me to have experience in the league as a Freshman and being that into the following season. As a Sophmore I believe I did good during the season(2017). I lead the league with the most saves(200) and I helped the team improve much better from the past seasons. My communication on the field is one of the many things I have to provide. I talk very loud and demanding telling my team, specifically my defensive line, what to do. I am not afraid to get hurt during 1v1 situations and I am able to read the game very well which helps me communicate with the team.
I personally believe that I continuously improve everyday as pointed out by my coaches and fellow teammates. I put in that extra hour of hard work just to get better. I enjoy positive criticism because I believe I can be better and I enjoy self-improving. I love personal training sessions because I have that personal connections with the trainer which allows me to know my weaknesses and help me improve on them as well as improve on my strengths.
Overall, my dream is to compete in college soccer and maybe continue from there. I’ll do anything for this dream and i’ll go out of my way in order to improve and get better.
