My love for the game of soccer began at 4 years old in the Summer of 2006 while living in Germany. The energy and excitement of the World Cup was tangible throughout the country and my family soaked it all in. My father, born and raised in Hamburg, Germany was a footballer as was his father, so soccer is actually in my blood.
I take pride in both my academic and athletic accomplishments. I not only consider myself a student in the classroom but also a student of the game of soccer. Through soccer I have learned how to apply my strong work ethic, my individual skills and my role on the field for the greater good of the team. I take accountability for what I can control and believe that dedication, repetition and practice do translate to performance on and off the field. I believe that I have an excellent tactical understanding of the game and use this knowledge and vision to make solid decisions on the field with excellent crossing and finishing in the final third. Not only do I have strong athletic and technical skills, but I understand the importance of being flexible and adaptable to different styles, formations and pace of the game.
Soccer and sports in general have been instrumental in my development as a person. Over the last three years in High School, I have demonstrated leadership by serving the community through various volunteer activities, being a team contributor in and out of the classroom, and excelling academically. After high school my goal is to find a university that is the right fit for me, where I can grow as a person, as a student and as an athlete competing at the highest level.
