Dear Coaches,

Soccer has had a profound impact on my life and personal development.  It has always been more than just a sport to me; it has been a source of joy, growth and invaluable life lessons.  Lessons, such as, teamwork, perseverance, decision making, sportsmanship, responsibility, self discipline; all traits which not only help me on the field but will make me stronger in the classroom and further more in my career.  While I not only have hopes of playing soccer I am committed to my academic journey.  I have always been fascinated by the world of business and entrepreneurship.  My hopes and dreams are to become my own boss and run a successful business.  

I strongly believe my skills, experience and commitment will make me an asset to your team.  Throughout my years of practice and competitive play I have been able to hone in on my technical skills and tactical awareness.  My ability to make quick and accurate decisions from the back has allowed me to be a solid defender.  My use of tackling, intercepting passes and blocking has prevented opposing teams from scoring.  My physical presence and tactical awareness along with my being vocal and assertive with communication on the field has played a crucial role in my success as a defender.  Beyond my individual skills, I am a team player.  I understand the importance of the three C's; communication, collaboration and camaraderie.  I possess leadership qualities and positive attitude which will strengthen the bond amongst the team.

What makes me different from other recruits is that I am the whole package.  I am passionate, coachable, hardworking, dedicated, and a team player.  I have ALWAYS had respect for my coaches, my teammates, my opponents and the refs.  I have a deep understanding of the game and I am committed to continuous improvement and personal growth.
