Zachary Halsey '22 Recruiting Profile

My college goals are to be able to be successful. And my dream has always been to be able to touch someone's life whether that's to inspire them at their lowest point or to push them through at their hardest at the hardest. Hence if I were to die knowing that I was able to impact someone's  Life in a special way I would know that I did something worthwhile. And living that dream has always been a goal going around figuring out how to accomplish that dream will be a challenge for sure but I know that I can do it.  Which is why I'll get into my next part of saying what makes me a good candidate for your team and that is that I'm a hard working person I don't let anything get to me and I push through almost anything  Ever since I was bullied in 6 grade for being smalle error skinnier and shorter than everybody else these 3 kids would bully me every day in math class and it got to me one day that I can never let myself get that low to appoint cause I was in a very bad place and no teacher would help and everyone would just ignore me because I was the shorter 1 and I come home upset some days and I wouldn't mention it to anybody because I wanted to get it done on my own and I vouched for that day Or on the day that I would never let anybody treat me like that again and although I've met a couple people in my life who may put me down I never let somebody's words hurt me like those 3 kids did in 6 grade. And being able to overcome that issue while surrounded with depression and anxiety and over thinking and emotional disorders has a has been a big goal of mine and being able to achieve it or get some control over it is again what would make me a good candidate for your team because I put the needs of others in front of me I am responsible I work my tails end off to go above and beyond whatever is done I work hard I don't take no for an answer and I push through even the hardest situations.  And although I might not have a underdog or overcoming story like others may have my determination and my hard work is what I believe can set me above him to be better than the other candidates that may be my peers or by my side. What makes me different from the other recruits is that I was always picked last because of the way I looked and the way that people thought and I let their doubt fuel my Passion for soccer I worked harder than other people and although I did not make it on the high school team for 2 years that was my own wrongdoing because I was lazy. And I hope breeding that doesn't make you look over me because I love my creativity run wild and being lazy helps me look back and see my diary of the pen, AKA talking too much, Being a hard worker and determination is what makes me different from those others in character and although I might not be a strong and smart as some of the other athletes and peers.  My determination and goals  And God will always be my fuel the haters the doubters and the straight up jerks will be my fuel to overcome and complete my dreams I've always dreamt of.
