Watching the 2014 World Cup was a turning point in my life when I became truly inspired and invested in the sport. I have been playing soccer with great passion since that time (the age of eight) and aspire to continue at the collegiate level. I primarily play left wing, but can also play attacking mid or right wing, positions that I enjoy because they all allow me to be creative with the ball and take on defenders in the final third. I have worked with great determination over the past eight years and continued to progress to now play in the most competitive league in my age group. Working with many different coaches and teams along the way gave me the opportunity to play many different formations and systems and learned to be a more versatile player as a consequence. I am particularly proud that I have been able to balance my commitment to soccer and academic strengths. When I was accepted at Horace Mann, I was advised that it would be a challenge pursue such an academically rigorous high school program while playing academy-level soccer. However, I rose to the challenge and have been able to attend one of the best high schools in the country, enrolled in the maximum number of honors classes, while still playing at the highest level of soccer.
