Personal Statement
I have tried every sport there is and my heart always went to Soccer. My love and talent lies in the competitive sport of soccer. For as long as I can remember I have been playing soccer and it has become my greatest passion. I have learned how to be a team player and be a leader and that it takes more than being a player but how to communicate well with others. Soccer has taught me a sense of leadership to my life and has made me a better friend and classmate in my school environment.
Every practice and every game is a new challenge that look forward to and to be better. I use the same mentality that the more I practice the better I will be to both Soccer and the classroom. Soccer has been my motivation to be overall a better student. My high school will only allow athletes to play with all passing classes, minimum lateness and absences. I have played Varsity HS school soccer since 9th grade and I have kept my grades up and have never been late to school and only 3 absences a year.
Soccer continues to teach me to be a better person and that I need to keep striving to be better and never give up and playing defensive it’s crucial that I never back down. Our team may not always come out on top but I strive to never walk off the field without knowing I gave it my all and to demonstrate good sportsmanship. I feel privileged to have been able to play Varsity soccer as a starter since 9th grade and be on a 2003 travel/Club team as a starter and hope to continue playing Soccer at the College level.
