Since I was little, I’ve always known I was meant to work with animals and the environment. My mother always said, two things make me happy, animals and soccer. Nature brings me peace and soccer brings me excitement while also teaching me discipline. I would like to study marine biology in college while playing for a college soccer team. I am a son, big brother, grandson, student, and an athlete. I am a teenager with dyslexia. At first, I thought my dyslexia was an obstacle, but I have learned that isn't the case. Dyslexia is part of who I am, but in no way takes away from my value nor my intelligence. I must work harder than a person without dyslexia, but this has challenged me to become a disciplined, self-motivated student.
I would be an asset to any soccer team because I am a resilient, intelligent, strategic, team player. I love being part of a team and always push myself to be better than yesterday. I understand I am not only making a commitment to myself, but also my teammates, coach, and college community. I acknowledge the importance of self-reflection, being open to feedback and understanding that an athlete should always be in a phase of continuous growth. I take my health seriously. I build endurance not only in trainings, but through my own personal runs and weightlifting. I prioritize my health by making healthy choices for my diet. I eat high protein foods, with fruits, vegetables, and limit junk food.
