My Name is Mamadou Seye. I was born in senegal, Dakar. When I was 6 I played my first organized game of soccer back home my dad said. I played good many people said. Soccer is my passion, what pushes me to work hard and never give up. I was living in a village, in a nice house, there’s no place like it, waking up everyday, eat and go straight outside and play soccer with friends all day is how I felt in love with this game . Most days was fun. When I was 11 My dad, who was living here in the United States told my mom that our papers came through to come to the United States. I was excited to hear this news, Because of how big the United States is compare to all other countries, coming here to “live the dream”. But I was also sad when I had to leave home to come here because I was leaving friends and family there, I cried for so long I could never forget, and I haven’t been there since. It’s been 6+years. Although I do hear from most of them I still miss they faces and being around them. However, coming to the United States change my life in many ways, better education, more opportunities, better life in general. For that I’m great full. Ever since I’ve been here I’ve been working hard and harder in school to make my parents proud and to succeed in soccer. I’ve heard that in the United States the best way to going professional is through college and I’m ready to take my game and education to the next level.
