I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to play soccer while living in three different countries, Belgium, Germany and most recently the US. During that time I learned how to easily adapt to my surroundings, while also being introduced to many different cultures, playing-styles and of course unique coaches, who have all assisted me to progress my game in various ways. These coaches managed to bring out many talents in me, making me an extremely versatile player, whom my coaches could rely on to perform whether they started me in attack, midfield or defence.
When I moved to the US for my freshmen year of high schoolI remember being somewhat shocked and overwhelmed by the huge tournaments I participated in upon joining FC Somers Benfica. I had to adapt to the playing style and experience as a whole, as it was something completely new. I see myself as tenacious and hungry to use every practice as an opportunity to improve my game. Athletically speaking, my goal is to continue challenging myself to become a complete soccer player, reflecting my potential in order to excel at the game. I have developed a talent for languages, I speak German, English and Dutch and have studied Spanish (4 years), Latin (3 years) and some French (2 years). In college I want to deepen my understanding of these languages and on top of that possibly learn another one. My experience with soccer has differed from place to place, but the one thing that never changed is my passion and love for the sport.
