Amar Culov '24 Recruiting Profile

I play for WNY Flash Academy and East Aurora High School as a left/right winger and have the ability to play as a center attacking mid. Reaching collegial level soccer was always my goal. My strengths are speed, awareness, ability to get out of tight spaces, ball control and dribbling skills, creativity in attacking third, a necessary vision for the game, and great coachability. Growing up, I spent all my summers in Croatia and Bosnia, of which I am also a citizen. This is where my passion for soccer grew playing nightly 5-a-side tournaments. In addition I participated in summer camps for Real Madrid Academy, 2017 in Madrid and Juventus Academy, 2019 in Turin. I contributed to my varsity team in my rookie year as a sophomore, scoring 10 goals and assisting another 10, winning Sectionals and Far West NY Regionals in 2021. In 2022, I was one of the team leaders, taking us to the sectional finals with no losses in the season.  WNY Flash Academy was my home since I was 8 yrs. old, and I played travel soccer all around the US since then. I would like to spend my college years focusing on education in a pre-law program with focus on economics and philosophy while still competing in the beautiful game at a high level.
