Giovanni Corsetti '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello coach, my name is Giovanni Corsetti and I play for New York City Football Club's academy, with the U-17 team. My collegiate goals and aspirations is to be able to compete at a high level in soccer, as well as have a high level of education alongside it. I am a good candidate for your team because I am hard working, disciplined, and persistent. I am able to create time for important things in my life such as my education, while at the same time having to deal with soccer as well, including missing days in school. On the field, I am creative and work hard for the end goal in the game, which is to win, but also to get better from a players standpoint. I like to try and improve technically, as well a being able to read the game and the teammates I am playing with. Off the field, I focus on the important things that could help shape my future, like my education, schedule, eating habits, and my supportive family. I am always able to create a suitable environment for myself to succeed, and not get stuck up in situations that could have a negative impact on me or my career. Academically I am very strong, and my willingness to learn with all of the challenges I face throughout the years with things like missing weeks of school for tournaments, and making up work, is something I am proud of myself for. I hold myself accountable to be able to figure these things out, because in the future it will only get harder. As a person, I love spending time with my family, as well as the close friends I have that respect my goals and what I would like to become in the future. For the future in my college years, I would love to compete at the Division I level, as well as having a high level of education, which ultimately would keep myself disciplined in life for the years to follow. My goals, like many others, is to play professional soccer, and with my ability to continue to grow and develop on and off the field with the way I showed myself now, the opportunities will come.
