Personal Statement

Hello! My name is Mia Boda and I have been playing soccer since I was around 6. What went from a fun after school activity quickly turned into the thing I look forward to most every day. Since as long as I can remember, I have wanted to go all the way with soccer, and have been working hard to make sure I get there one day. I have learned a lot about the sport throughout the years, with the help of all my past coaches, teammates, and clubs that I've had the opportunity to play for. Each have given me a different perspective of the game, which I can now use while playing. Currently I play as an outside midfielder, although I do move around to different positions every once in a while. I'm also always very dedicated to my team, making sure that everyone feels welcome, on and off the field, along with putting my heart and soul into our success every chance we get. I've always kind of started off as the underdog, so I am used to always putting in 110% effort into everything I do in order to prove myself worthy. I'm looking for a college where I can continue to grow as a soccer player and as a student. I am very excited to start my recruitment process.

The Regional Staff and the ODP Scouting Network will evaluate players throughout the event. A selection of top players from this event will be invited to the USYS ODP National Select Team. These events are designed to take the top players selected from the GODP and BODP inter- regional events and further evaluate and showcase their talents with high-level training and top- level competition for both genders. Join us for a top-level recruiting showcase, the first of its kind here in the Mid-Atlantic region, for U13 - U19 teams that will give players a platform with unparalleled competition, world-class facilities, and unprecedented exposure to college coaches from around the country. The FC DELCO showcase will take place on all turf facilities in the Philadelphia metropolitan area which will minimize the risk of cancelations due to inclement weather. Last weekend was an amazing weekend, we won all three games in our group with my team, I scored in two and assisted in one.
