In Soccer there are three words that have stuck with me and kept me going. Energy, Passion and Conviction. For me soccer has been my way of life, I have played since I was 8 and have played every position on the field at a point in the past 8 years. Whatever my coach told me to play I would play no question and no comments. Every time I get on the field, I try to perform to my best ability no matter the score and no matter the circumstance. In 7th grade I pulled my hamstring running track. It was devastating, I went through Physical Therapy and was out of all sports for at least 2 months and it did not seem like a lot of time but the game moves so fast I had to put in triple the work to get back to where I was before. The year after I did the exact same thing in track but was only out for a month. These setbacks, now that I look at them really helped me a fueled me to get better as a person and as a player. When I play soccer, I think of myself as a leader on and off the field more on club then in scholastic soccer. I just ended my first varsity soccer season only seeing the field twice in the season, but I made the most of my playing time and gave 110% the entire time. I never play hesitant, and I am very accountable for my actions. When I am on the field I never think about myself, it is always about how the team is doing and how I can make the team better. Soccer has been a great sport in my life, and I hope to continue this way of life no matter what it looks like.
