Kyle Howarth '21 Recruiting Profile

My dream is to attend college and play varsity soccer; perhaps someday play for a professional soccer team. I work hard and always give 100% in everything I do in order that I might realize that dream someday. 

I am a solid A/B honors student, an Eagle Scout candidate, am involved in community service and veterans organizations. I also complete my required 50 hours community service at school by teaching and coaching the middle school soccer team.

I have played for a Premier UK team in Mebane, NC; currently play on a classic travel team for Mebane Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) where I have played since 2009. In three years at Woods Charter School in Chapel Hill, NC as a varsity starting forward on the soccer team I scored 81 goals and had 48 assists. I have made it to the regional and state level for Track, to the regional Cross-Country finals, and am also a starting forward on the Woods varsity basketball team. This year I was surprised to learn that I had made All-State in Division 1A High School Soccer. In 2020-21 I have been voted Captain of the soccer, basketball, cross-country and track teams at school.

My parents are both veterans, which I am proud of, and want to make sure I receive a good education at a reputable college or university to reward their constant support of my academic and athletic endeavors. It is very important to me to get a great education and hope to concentrate in the area of business and environmental studies.
