Since I was a toddler, I’ve had a ball at my feet. As the youngest of three, I spent my earliest years on the sidelines chasing after balls while my brother and sister played soccer. At four, I was finally old enough to be on a team. My passion for the sport has continued to grow since those early days of Pugg goals and 20-yard fields. I still spend most of my free time kicking a ball, but I’m no longer on the sidelines.
My parents instilled in me a strong work ethic, not just in athletics, but in every task I undertake. They have taught me to give my very best in order to achieve the goals I set out for myself. I have learned some hard lessons in life which have taught me to persevere not only on the pitch, but also in the classroom.
Over the years, both club and school coaches believed in me and encouraged me as an athlete and student. The investment they made in my development is one of the reasons I give back to my local football club by volunteering at their summer camp. Indulging my passion for the game by teaching the basics of soccer to these young players is not only fun, it’s my way of contributing to the soccer community in my hometown of Asheville, NC.
I would love to play at the collegiate level and study business or sports marketing.
