My name is Joshua Antonio and I’m currently a sophomore at Cuthbertson High School. Soccer is a huge passion of mine. I have played soccer since I was five years old. As I got older, I continued playing and progressed from a recreation team to the club level. I would like to continue playing soccer in college and also get a degree in sports medicine. I would make a good candidate for a college team because I am a hard worker on and off the field. When not playing, I have trained younger kids with soccer drills so they themselves can be better players. Besides playing, I referee soccer games on weekends when I don’t have my own games. Recently, I completed my SafeSport certification which allows me to be an assistant coach to recreation level players. I’ve participated in training clinics sponsored by professional and academy soccer clubs and universities. I run track for my school as well. I run the 55, 100, 200 and 300 meters. I also volunteer in my community every month to help plan and set up for seasonal events. Aside from sports and community involvement, I take some honors classes and participate in school clubs.
