Personal Statement
Hello, I am Ryder Schmidt. My aspirations for college soccer is to play at a higher level, at the same time building a relationship with coaches and teammates. Growing together to be in the best position to be top in the conference. Communication is a principle of life and using in this sport can make or break a game. Personally, I feel that I am a strong communicator on and off the field.
Soccer has brought out the best of me and that is why I am passionate about this sport! I Through the years I have learned that I am very competitive and I really like to win. Except winning isn't everything; for me it is about learning and adapting from my mistakes. In the end what matters most is how hard and smart you work; with giving your best effort to your team no matter what the situation. This sport has showed me how to be a good teammate, humble, empathetic, respectful, and most of all to have fun.
My leadership skills have developed from being involved with student council for five years. During these five years I have held multiple leadership roles. I have built up how to be responsible through my time working for my community. I work hard in school because I know that if I do not it could jeopardize my eligibility as a student-athlete. Outside of high school, I play competitive soccer for Tri-City Storm Soccer club, I manage basketball, I manage girl's soccer, I am involved in DECA, and I coach youth soccer for my club!
Thank you for taking the time to read about me and I hope that you can give me an opportunity to play for your program!
