My name is Keegan Kaas and I am currently a Junior at the Catlin Gabel School in Portland, Oregon. Catlin Gabel is an academically rigorous school and one of the highest rated independent schools in the Pacific Northwest.
A little bit about me: I love to play piano and I am currently teaching myself to play guitar. I am maturing in my song-writing skills and every now and then perform in front of an audience when the opportunity arises. I enjoy spending time with my family, going on hikes and exploring the outdoors. My schoolwork is also very important to me, and as I have developed into a young adult I have come to realize that the most important thing I can do at this stage in my life is to train my mind.
Then we come to soccer—I love it….with a passion. I have been playing the game of soccer for as long as I can remember. I currently play for my high school as well as for my club team (FC Portland). I also play for the Portland Timbers ODP ‘99/’00 team. I was recently invited to the ODP Region IV Camp for the coming 2016/2017 season. I train daily, be it with my team(s) or by myself, always working hard to improve my skill set. Sports have taught me a lot about myself, about winning as well as losing. Being an athlete has also taught me about what it means to be a part of a team. It is my sincere desire to be part of an organization where I will have an opportunity to thrive and grow as an individual--both on and off the field.
I promise to work hard, learn and develop in an effort to contribute to the organizations for whom I have the honor of representing.
Thank you in advance for your consideration
Keegan Kaas
