Personal Statement

My goal is to play soccer at the collegiate level while studying to become an engineer.  I bring a high soccer IQ, willingness to learn, strong work ethic and a natural athletic talent.  I am driven to succeed and become the best player I can be.  I don't want to look back as an adult and feel like I left anything on the table and that I gave it my all to see how good I can be at this sport I love.

  • Played with select group from GPS against 3 different academy clubs based in the UK. Played to a draw for all matches. Notes from his coach: Please see report on Landon below: Landon has a very calming presence on the field both in and out of possession. If the opposition are attacking at Landon, I felt as if 'Landon will take of that player', if Landon is in possession, I felt as if 'Landon will take care of the ball' He has a quiet assurance about himself on and off the pitch, which really reflects well on him as a confident young man Landon is deceptively athletic and really proved himself capable among strong opposition in the scrimmages He is very capable on his left foot and has a desire to defend his goal Landon has the capabilities to be an attacking force also, so should take the shackles off and attack when opportunities present, particularly at the LB position He is adaptable in his positions, CB / LB but I think he could explore playing further up the pitch as a holding midfielder due to his combativeness and also a wide midfielder Landon is very receptive to information and is a very intelligent young man, which makes him keen to learn and a pleasure to coach Landon has the potential to go on and have a good career in the game through high school and hopefully into the college game Hope that's alright mate Kind Regards Ricky Machel - Head Tutor/Coach www.soccerchanceacademy.com
