Mitchel Munzing '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mitchel Munzing and I play for Portland City United Soccer Club and Grant High School in Oregon. I am dedicated and committed on and off the field; I have played for the same club team since 7th grade and have been in a Japanese immersion program since elementary school which has helped me to be bilingual. Academically, I always take school seriously. I can effectively manage my time so I can do well in school while I play soccer competitively. I also help other students in my class and I’m planning on being a teacher assistant for a Japanese class this senior year. On the field I am always prepared to do what I need to do for the team to win, whether it is having a certain role for a game or playing a different position. I am also a calm and smart player, and can help my teammates calm down during stressful situations in games. I try to lead by example for both my club and high school team, by always being positive and showing resilience. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to find the best team that fits me, and play at the highest level possible.
