My name is Ryan Policicchio, I’m a very passionate and competitive soccer player who loves working on their game. Growing up I played many different sports which helped me build my athleticism and love for sports. As high-school came up I came to realize that I want to play college soccer.
I am a student at Aquinas Academy who is very versatile when it comes to playing soccer for our school varsity team. I mostly play winger and striker but I’ve had experience playing center attacking mid, right back, and left back. I also play club soccer for Steel City FC where I play winger and striker. My strengths when I’m on the field would be my speed, my 1v1 attacking, and my ability to press the ball while on defense. With my versatility and athleticism I believe that I am a very adaptable player and I can play just about anywhere with a little bit of coaching.
At school I am constantly making improvements with my academics. In my junior year I was an honor roll student and I was awarded the Cum laude honor roll award. Academics is a big concern for me so I want to be able to go to a school where I can be satisfied academically and play soccer. I’ve also made some huge achievements on the field too, such as being awarded the 2022 Premier player of the year for my club and being named Captain of my highschool soccer team as a senior. I wish to go into the computer science field and I wish to do something related to that field as a job once I graduate. I want to attend a college or university that has a competitive soccer program, computer science or similar academic major, and is within approximately four hours away from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
