Elizabeth Russell '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Russell and I am  a Senior (Class of 2022) at Aquinas Academy of Pittsburgh. I have been playing basketball for approximately 10 years. Playing college basketball has always been a dream of mine since I was a child. Being team Captain for three years has taught me how to become a leader on and off the court. At Aquinas, I have also played four years of golf and one year of lacrosse. I have learned how to be a team player, and to work hard with managing my workload. My main position has always been Small Forward and Shooting Guard, but I am a versatile player. In my Junior year of high school, I have had to play all five positions.  Attending the #1 Catholic High School in Pittsburgh is very challenging and I am pleased to have taken 18 honors classes in my fours years of high school.  I am very competitive and love to be challenged, and I will never back down to any of my competitors. Attending Aquinas, I have learned how to manage my time effectively, and am able to succeed off and on the court. I strive to be the hardest worker on my team, and will push myself to the limits.  I work on my game every single day. I understand playing basketball at the collegiate level is challenging, but I am ready to take the challenge.
