Jordan Smith '20 Recruiting Profile

At the young age of four, I chose the position of a goalkeeper. This position allows me the opportunity to command my team and be a part of every play throughout the game.  The role of a goalkeeper has helped me discover how to be a leader on the field.

My academic goals each year of high school is to always try to give my best effort.  I strive each quarter to make the honor roll. My high school soccer goal over the next two seasons is to experience the run of a state championship for my school. My ultimate goal is to graduate with the best GPA that I can achieve and that will allow me the opportunity for a college education. I would love to be able to continue my soccer career in college, as well.  

Over the last ten years of my life I've had to face some minor challenges, both academically and physically.  However, these challenges have only made me a stronger individual. It has taught me about the importance of having a good work-ethic. I have used the game of soccer as a positive outlet to overcome these daily challenges and I have been able to achieve success both on and off the field.  As a high school varsity athlete, I am a coachable player that is always eager to improve my game. I take pride in being part of a team. As a goalkeeper, I embrace the role of leading and encouraging my teammates in any way that I can in order for my team to achieve success.
