Michael Bishop '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael Bishop, and I’m a Class of 2027 graduate playing for the Steel City FC Academy. As a fullback, I have worked on my ability to contribute on both sides of the game, whether it's staying disciplined defensively, making overlapping runs, or helping create chances going forward. My game is built around my high work rate and fitness to stay sharp for the full 90 minutes, track back when needed, and stay involved in every phase of the game. 
 What sets me apart is my ability to read the game and anticipate what is coming next. I position myself well to break up attacks, intercept passes, and help start transitions. I’m also very coachable, I’m always open to feedback, quick to adjust to different systems and formations, and focused on improving any way I can. I’m ready to contribute to my team in whatever role is needed, whether that’s shutting down an opposing winger, delivering a cross, or leading through consistency and focus. I’m excited to bring my energy, versatility, and drive to a collegiate program and make a real impact.
