Ethan Marrero '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Ethan Marrero. I live in Central, South Carolina, and I currently play for CASA Premier 04/05 Boys located in Anderson. As a player, I have experience playing at many different levels including ECNL, HYSA(Hawai'i), Hawai'i ODP, ID2, and high school. Last year I played the 2022 season for CESA ECNL 05 Boys, and I won the 3A State Championship with my high school, D. W. Daniel. As a player, I am capable of playing every position, but I tend to stick to the outside positions whether it be as a midfielder or a fullback. I am intelligent, possession oriented outside back who can attack and win the end line and can also tuck underneath and connect from deeper parts of the midfield. I contribute to my team as a versatile player who has the ability to read the game at a high level and battle on both sides of the ball. Lately, I have been transitioning to more of an inverted fullback as I can defend well and get up the field to join in on attacks and be a playmaker on the wings.   Great engine, I can go up and down well, and defends with passion.  I have decent size as I currently stand at 6’0 and weigh 140 lb. I see myself as a physical player who can hold himself on the field. 

From an academic standpoint, I have received straight A’s in my high school career and have a 4.7 GPA. I continuously challenge myself in AP and Honors Classes. I have a ACT score 26 and a SAT score of 1240.  My current goals are to pursue a career in Sports Medicine and to compete at the next level of soccer.
