I was only two years old when I started soccer. I was always active, busy and very physical, so I needed soccer as an outlet for my energy. As I got older soccer became other things to me as well- a distraction when things went haywire at home, a way to burn energy and stay fit, a built in bond with teammates who became more like brothers, a focus and drive within myself that developed and strengthened over time.
The highlights of my soccer experience so far have been winning the State PMSL Championship as a starter with my SC club team in 2017 and again in 2020. It was a season that helped prepare me for the high school soccer experiences that followed. Last year I had the chance to play up in the R3 Premier league and learned even more about focus and hard work. I have been a Varsity starter on the Fort Mill HS team since Sophomore year. Last year my club- Discoveries- merged with others to create Charlotte Independence, and am in my second year with Coach Robles and a great group of friends and teammates. Like everyone else, 2020 spring season ended early due to covid so I sadly do not have updates from spring hs season.
