I have very high aspirations for myself and know that succeeding at a competitive college is the best way to reach my goals. I plan to major in business and one day work in the front office of a major sports franchise. I am very strong academically and have an exceptional work ethic that has helped me stay at the top of my class while taking the most challenging courses offered. I have achieved this while also prioritizing soccer. I never miss my 3-4 practices a week, games and tournaments. I learned early on how to optimize my time well to succeed at what was important to me.
I take my soccer career as seriously as I do my academics. I have played soccer since I could fit into a pair of cleats. I have wrestled and swam competitively for years, but mostly to better condition myself for soccer. I have earned positions for every top team available to me, and am currently on the top ECNL team in my region. I earn my position through hard work and dedication. I make sure that I am the hardest working player on and off the pitch. I take practices and conditioning as seriously as I do games. I think that my work ethic has helped me earn my position as team captain for my club. I know that I will not always be the fastest or strongest, but my opponents will never outwork me. I am a multi-positional player who is confident in my versatility. I believe that my coaches would describe me as hard-working, tenacious, responsive to direction and feed-back, and someone who has a genuine love for the game.
My goal is to play soccer at a competitive college or university. I want to positively represent my college and be seen as a leader on the pitch and within my academic major. My long-term goal is to play professionally after college, but am also planning to prepare myself for a successful professional life while at college in case Manchester United doesn't call.
