My name is Ayden Spicer and I'm currently a 11th grader with a graduation year of 2022 at Brandon Valley High School in Brandon SD. I am currently 5'11" and weigh 162 lbs. I am a proud multi-sport athlete with attention to my academics and faith.
I finished my third year of high school soccer for Brandon Valley High School. As a Junior I started as goalkeeper for my third year now. I finished the season with 5 shut-outs and had 71 saves, with .81 save average. Our team finished the year getting to the first round of playoffs. I was selected for the Metro-Athletic All-Conference team, ESD All Conference team and All State Second team. It was a challenging but fun season and I look forward to the off-season and next season. I concentrate on what I can control: effort, attitude, and focus both during the game, in-season and off-season training. I really enjoy working on my fundamentals and the off-season training drills. I have a high competitive nature in all aspects of life.
I also play soccer for Dakota Alliance Soccer Club U19 Loons 1. I am the starting goalkeeper. I made the Dakota ODP 03&04 team this season and was invited to the regional camp. I consider myself one of the leaders on the team and have been the team captain for most of my past years with my club team before making the jump up to u19 this year.
I'm currently playing baseball for Brandon Valley High School Varsity. In 2020 my Brandon Valley Junior Legion team was able to play our season and we ended up winning the state tournament. I have also made the Under Armor Baseball Factory regional U16 & U18 events. My primary position is catcher and I also play middle infield, outfield, and I come in as a relief pitcher. My coach really utilized my athletic abilities on both offense and defense.
I work hard on putting an emphasis on my academics, I currently take advanced math and am enrolled in the advanced math and advanced science path for high school. BVHS is ranked the #1 high school in the state for academics. I'm currently undecided for a college degree but I'm leaning toward medical/engineer/sciences. I'm looking for a medium to large campus and currently am undecided on distance or location. I want to attend a high quality program and I'm keeping my options open in regards to division. Priority will be a program with an eye on player development with good academics.
My main goal is to play professionally one day. I know the next step is to be on a high quality college program where I can help my team while continuing my soccer development. You won't be disappointed.
