Goals 2022-2023Personal Statement
As I grew up playing soccer, I fell in love with the sport. After continuing my soccer journey with my club at a high level and then my high school, I decided I wanted to play in college. I would like to combine my passion for soccer with a great education and a unique college experience .
I have played with many players and classmates, but one thing that coaches have always said that differentiates me from others is my willingness to work hard and sacrifice for the team. Whether that be wrestling, soccer, or academics, I always give my best to try to be the best form of myself that I can. I am determined to bring the same mindset and work ethic with me to college, in the classroom and on the field.
I also care about the community, as I have volunteered to help in multiple service projects, including helping local artists in Nashville. Additionally, I am a grasslands referee who officiates 3th to 6th grade boys and girls on the weekends.
Whether I am playing a soccer game, studying for school, or volunteering locally, I always give my best effort and attitude to be the best man that I can possibly be while helping others.

"Carson has the emotional stability far beyond others of his age. In one example, he pulled off an upset win over his opponent where he came from behind to win. His win helped MBA win the entire match as a team. Carson never seems phased when things don't go his way, and he does not get caught up too much in the moment where he can't continue to perform with excellence. With fans and wrestlers yelling, he stayed calm and focused. Additionally, he has a level of focus you might only see in the most successful athletes. He cares greatly about his academic work, his conditioning, and bettering himself on the wrestling mat and soccer field."

Good footwork and positioning, and seems to enjoy the 1v1 battles. Ball Control - Quality first touch in space, and controls the ball under pressure. Tactical Abilities - 87 / 100 Speed Of Thought - Has good ideas and tries to play fast. This will only help future growth. Reading The Game - Does well seeing the first level of pressure and making appropriate decision on the ball. Physical Abilities - 89 / 100 Explosiveness - Great quickness and explosiveness, especially in the first step or two. Strength - Did a good job handling challenges and played well shoulder-to-shoulder. Mental Abilities - 89 / 100 Competitiveness - Showed a strong desire to win and seems to enjoy the competition. Keep working hard! Coachable - Responds well to coaching. Asked good questions and seemed to enjoy the learning process. Coach's Comments Highly engaged both on and off the field. First couple yards are sharp and explosive with good positional awareness. Confident in himself and his ability to compete against any player. As a defender, covers well for teammates and recovers promptly if making runs forward. Ball retention is great. When distributing passes or pass selection, improving the weight of your pass will increase your effectiveness as a defender. Awareness of positioning is good, checking your shoulders will allow you to organize the other defenders and look for threats which are constantly moving around you. Strength is an asset for you, being more aggressive in the air will help you to win more battles in the air.
