Personal Statement

I am a versatile soccer player who can play multiple positions, on both sides of the pitch. On my U19 ECNL-RL-USC club team, I play as a midfielder, both defensive and central.  On my high school team, I play as both a defensive midfielder and an outside back.  I am comfortable passing and shooting with both feet and enjoy creating opportunities for my team off my passes. My vision and ability to read the game combined with my technical ability and accuracy on short and long passes to my teammates, make me a strong asset for my teams. My coaches have described me as a good team player who is intelligent and coachable, and my team-first attitude as an unselfish player, along with my other attributes, make me a good fit for any collegiate soccer program.

My abilities on the soccer pitch have earned me invitations to international training camps for different countries, including with the Jamaica U15 national team and the Antigua and Barbuda U17 National team in preparation for the 2025 CONCACAF Qualifying tournament for the FIFA U17 World Cup (2025).  I look forward to being selected to participate in this prestigious tournament in 2026. 

In addition to soccer, I am a member of my high school's varsity track team. I am also an accomplished academic student. My academic achievements include being accepted into the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY)Program and being a National Merit Commended Scholar, as well as a National African-American Recognition Program Scholar. Academically, I want to continue to excel at a school with a strong computer science program, while playing high-level collegiate soccer.
