I am a two-time All-State goalkeeper in the state of Texas entering my senior season. I achieved this honor by being a DIFFERENT kind of keeper. I believe my unique skill set can help any team. I model my approach to goalkeeping after keepers such as Ederson, Oblak, Alisson, Nuere, and Yohei Takaoka. I try to be a well-rounded goalkeeper. I strive to be more than just a shot-stopper. I am constantly trying to improve myself through training and film study. I practice my footwork on a regular basis. I am confident but not cocky. I am humble enough to know there is so much more room to grow in this position and that's why I love it so much. I love training.
I get off my line. You won't find me camped out inside my 6-yard box with my heels on my line...waiting for the game to come to me. I distribute with accuracy. I use my athleticism and technique to cover more ground and make more saves. I try to be an example for others on my team to follow. Being a leader by example is important to me. I organize film sessions during lunch to help my high school team prepare for the next game. I go watch my high school teammates play their club games. I also organize summer sessions with both my club and school teams and train with my center back/captain individually.
I am passionate about soccer and goalkeeping. I started specializing in goalkeeping when I was 9 years old. I never wanted to be anything else. I think what separates me from other goalkeepers my age is my athleticism and my passing/distribution. I am a great shot-stopper, but my aggressiveness and my ability to play the ball anywhere on the field really help my team in ways other keepers can't. What drives me is getting in the heads of the opposing players, coaches, and parents when I play high off my line and stop attacks before the other team can even react.
I was born in 2005 and will graduate in 2024. I play UPSL for Texas FC, club soccer for Capital City S.C., and high school soccer for St. Michael's Catholic Academy. I was the only goalkeeper on my club team from 2019-2023. I get a lot of playing time. In 2020-21, I played for 2 club teams and my high school team. I was the only keeper on both club teams. I was named All-State and All-District at the conclusion of my sophomore and junior years. In 2022, I started playing in the Premier division of the UPSL. I split time with another keeper. I have also played 2 years for South Texas ODP and went to regionals in Alabama both years. I am 5'10" 130 lbs. The part of my that really stands out is my 73-inch wingspan and 9.5-inch hands. My dad is 6'1" and my mom is 5'9" and I have a longer wingspan than both.
