Personal Statement
Soccer is my passion and the only organized sport I’ve ever wanted to play. I started playing at the club level at age 6 and have been playing on travelling teams for 4 years. I am fortunate to have played in tournaments across the US and in Europe. I attended the Chelsea Soccer School in London and traveled to England with a team to train and play in exhibition games with professional English clubs. My mom is from London, so I spend most summers in England playing street soccer with friends, visiting pro clubs and watching games.
I believe having a busy schedule has taught me how to balance my life and be successful with school and soccer. I build strong relationships on and off the field and have been put in many leadership roles including being captain of my high school JV team as a freshman. I understand how important it is to create and maintain good relationships which is beneficial to the individual and to the team in their aim for success. Currently my primary positions are 8, 10 and 2. I have been told by coaches that I am a versatile player that can contribute to the success of the team by being able to play multiple positions.
As I plan for college my goal is to make soccer a big part alongside my academics to create a well-rounded experience.
