DeVante Purnell '15 Recruiting Profile

On and off the pitch, I believe that I am a good leader because of the way I lead by example and allow not only myself to succeed, but I also let my teammates succeed. In school, I know what my priorities are. I know that if I get bad grades and I put athletics in front of school, then I am less likely to succeed in the future. As a player, I can be very coachable, because I allow myself to listen to what coaches and other players are telling me and I learn from my mistakes. A con that I have on the field is the tendency to drift back on defense with the mindset that I am still in midfield after being moved to forward. I plan to push my team and myself to get better this upcoming high school season. As captain of the team,  I will do all that is possible to never let my team down in any way.
