kevin valdez '22 Recruiting Profile

I am from deep South Texas. I am 6’1” and weigh approximately 175 lbs. I have been playing since I was 6 years old.  I consider myself driven, athletic, disciplined and coachable.  I am proud of my accomplishments, starting at rec level, then club, and now MLS Academy. I love this sport that is why I have always pushed myself and tried to place myself at the highest level of competition. Going from recreational to traveling with the Dallas Texans RGV and later with FC Dallas RGV.  Now a member of the only MLS academy south of San Antonio. I’ve played against great academies like FC Dallas, Dallas Texans, Solar FC, Sporting KC, Houston Dynamo, Colorado Rapids and Tigres Academy from Mexico just to name a few.  I am currently the top student at my school and have a 4.37 GPA and scored a 29 on my ACT during my Junior year.  I plan on retaking the ACT and scoring a 30 or better.  Taking AP courses pushes me to excel academically and get me ready for University level courses.  I am a member of the National Honor Society,  Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica and Vice-President at a business club at my school.  I always strive to be my best. My goal is to study science and later attend medical school.
