My name is Kaitlyn Rizo and softball has been a part of my life for the past 9 years. Softball has been a safe place for me since I was a little kid. Running bases, fielding the ball, hitting balls, and screaming from the dugout is what I love most about the game. Growing up with softball has given me the opportunity to realize that one day I want to become a phenomenal athletic softball player in playing collegiate ball. I love the challenges I face to not only make me think harder but make me strategize my game plan to become successful in the game. I’m a 17 year old woman, incoming senior at Idea Weslaco college preparatory, and very passionate for the game of softball. I’m a very social person who loves to motivate others.
A little bit more about me academically is that I’m a AB honor roll student who is always trying to do more than what I already have. I managed to seek more opportunities to keep my mind off things like softball. School has also been an outlet of showing me what I want to pursue in my life. My wish is to study business in becoming an entrepreneur and could possibly make it into a career. It’s always been something that has grasped my attention. The chances of me getting into college was a hope that I could accomplish one day. If I could describe my softball experience and the things it has taught me would be establishing my priorities, being competitive , and dedication.
